Debbie Wise

Debbie Wise

Founder, Senior Planner

Debbie Wise founded Wise Planning in 1997 to offer people straightforward, objective financial planning services. She has been in the financial services industry since 1986, including nearly five years as an analyst at Robert W. Baird (Milwaukee, WI). There she provided research and analytical support to the firm’s traders and investment officers. Prior to that, she was a member of the institutional fixed income sales department at Merrill Lynch (Chicago, IL). Debbie earned a Master’s Degree in Finance from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Debbie grew up in the Chicago area and now lives in Seattle with her husband. She is a podcast junkie and particularly loves Simon Sinek, Adam Grant and Malcolm Gladwell. You’ll find her walking around Greenlake most evenings with one of these podcasts in her ear. She is also a sports fan and enjoys cheering on the Cubbies even though it’s mostly a vain pursuit.

Bob Fairbrook

Bob Fairbrook joined Wise Planning in 2007. He has been a financial counselor since 1979, including eleven years as a partner in Retirement Benefit Specialists, Inc. (RBS) in Bellevue, WA where he specialized in qualified retirement plans. Prior to that Bob owned Northwest Retirement Planning in Seattle and served as an adjunct professor in the CFP® certificate training program for City University in Bellevue. In addition to Wise Planning, Bob presents financial education workshops for a major accounting firm. Bob graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and held the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from 1995 to 2023. He lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and enjoys time with his grandchildren, tending to his vegetable garden, making homemade granola, and golfing (mostly golfing!).

Albert Barsanti

Lead Planner

Albert Barsanti joined Wise Planning in 2022 as a financial planner. He has been in the financial services industry since 2014, including three years as a lead financial planner at Ernst and Young (EY), and a year and a half as a wealth manager at Mercer Advisors. Before EY, Albert served in analyst and portfolio management roles. Albert earned a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Albert lives in Vienna, VA and enjoys spending time mastering chess, sharpening his mathematical skills, and cheering on the Liverpool F.C.

Mike Burke

Mike Burke joined Wise Planning in early 2020 as a trader/portfolio manager. Prior to that, Mike worked for The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Business Insider. His first career was as a Market Maker at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange for 16 years. Mike graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. in Economics. He lives in Chicago with his wife and dog Annie, and enjoys spending time with his kids and grandchildren, gardening in the sunshine, and drinking a good cup of coffee.

Brooke Hogg

Associate Planner

Brooke Hogg joined Wise Planning in 2023 as an associate financial planner. She began her career in Corporate Finance at JELD-WEN, but soon pivoted to working as an associate financial planner at Vanguard specializing in new accounts and asset transfers. She earned a B.A. in Financial Management from Clemson University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). She lives in Charlotte, NC with her cat, Cider and dog, Dusty. In her free time she can be found listening to the What You Will Learn podcast, volunteering for Girls on the Run, or reading a good mystery from the local library.

Andy Holte

Andy Holte joined Wise Planning in 2021 as a financial planner. Prior to that, he worked for Plexus Scientific Corporation for 14 years. There he managed software projects and a product development team – designing, testing, and implementing software solutions in support of Federal Government agencies. Andy earned a B.A. in Business Administration from George Washington University, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and is currently pursuing a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Andy lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and dog Gus. He’s constantly listening to podcasts and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors – hiking, biking, climbing, and camping.

Kevin O’Brien

Kevin O’Brien joined Wise Planning in 2020 as a financial planner. Prior to that, Kevin was a financial planner at Ernst & Young for seven years, where he specialized in employer-sponsored benefits and retirement planning as well as supporting the tax helpline. He earned a B.A. in History from The College of New Jersey and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). He also holds a Certificate in Health Plan Navigation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Kevin lives in coastal Stafford Township, New Jersey with his wife and two young sons. He’s known to spend his free time on the disc golf course, weightlifting, and employing his handyman skills around the house.

Holly Pulliam joined Wise Planning in early 2017 in an administrative role. Over the years she has grown to be the manager of Wise Planning operations and client services, directing many of the processes and procedures behind the scenes. Prior to Wise Planning, Holly was a customer service supervisor at Nordstrom and the owner of Holly Girl Friday. Holly earned a B.A. in Business Management from Western Governors University. She lives in Lynnwood, WA with her dog Odin and cat Thor, and enjoys songwriting, bowling, camping, hiking, and the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.

Carrie Walker

Client Service Specialist

Carrie Walker joined Wise Planning in 2022 in an administrative and customer service role. Prior to Wise Planning, she was a licensed Personal Lines Insurance agent at AAA where she was also a training and development coach. Carrie also worked for several years in office management and administrative support for a collision repair shop. Carrie lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband and three kids. She enjoys camping and quad-riding in the desert, Dutch Bros. coffee, and mastering the sport of cornhole.
